ADVICE TO FATHERS!

As the father of the bride you have an opportunity of a lifetime! As your daughter becomes engrossed in the details of planning this extravaganza you have the opportunity to make an indelible mark on your daughter’s psyche. This is a chance for you to put down the television remote, walk away from your computer and give your daughter the most amazing gift–you! Many fathers perceive that a check and a walk down the aisle is all that is required during this transition period.  Even though that is an option don’t set the bar so low for yourself!

Tip # 1 for Fathers of Brides

From now until your daughters wedding spend 30 minutes every week doing something special for your daughter!  Send a random note telling her a few of the things that make her so special to you… Emails will do but a handwritten note and 44 cents for postage will be more than worth the expense.

Tip # 2 for Fathers of Brides

Get ready to waltz?  Well for most fathers they are probably not the first choice for “Dancing with the Stars”!  Even if you daughter doesn’t plan on doing a difficult dance it might be time to start learning something out of your comfort zone.
